What Is Global Access Direct Service?
Global Access Direct (GAD) service is the implementation
of our new generation of switching technology. GAD is a direct dial-through
service for customers. This means the customer does not have to hang up
when placing a long-distance call, giving the customer transparent access
to our service.

What is GAD - Paris Service?
Like
GAD in Netherlands there is a charge to call the local access
number in Paris. The PTT will
charge the customer in units of 0.615
francs for every three minutes
(customer gets more time per unit
during off peak hours).
Telegroup will apply 17.5% Value Added Tax (VAT) to all invoices.
Charges increase as customers call outside of Paris.
Customers living more than 10 miles outside of Paris should use
Global
Access 3088 France (it will be more cost effective).
The cities where GAD Paris is
cost effective are Paris, Creteil,
Massy, Versailles, Nanterre
and Boulgne-Billancourt.

How GAD - Paris Service Works
The
customer dials a local Paris number, 0141 97 88 88 to the Telegroup France
switch.
If the customer's phone number is delivered and recognized by the
switch as a line, the customer
hears a bong tone, and is prompted to
dial the number the customer
wants to call. The prompt says "Please
enter the country code and number
you wish to call followed by the
pound key."
If the number is not registered, the customer is prompted for
an authorization code. The prompt
says, "Please enter your
authorization code." (If the
customer enters a wrong code,
the switch will again prompt
for an authorization code.)
After entering the 10 digit
code, the customer is prompted to
dial the number he or she wants
to call.
The customer enters the destination number. The customer will hear,
"Thank you for using Telegroup.
Please hold while I connect your
call." The call is completed
via Telegroup's international
switching network.
