What Is Global Access Direct Service?

Global Access Direct (GAD) service is the implementation of our new generation of switching technology. GAD is a direct dial-through service for customers. This means the customer does not have to hang up when placing a long-distance call, giving the customer transparent access to our service.

How GAD - Netherlands Service Works

Telegroup has one access number in the Netherlands for GAD:
  • in Amsterdam 
 NOTE: These are not toll free numbers. Add approximately 3¢ per minute to the GAD rate for a call from Amsterdam and 12¢ per minute for a call from Utrecht.

Customer Instructions

  From a touch-tone phone, dial the Netherlands local access number 
    in Amsterdam 020-447-2477. 

  Dial your 10-digit Account Code (Personal Identity Number). 

  Dial the Country Code + Area Code + Number, followed by the # key.

More GAD - Netherlands Details

Each account will have a monthly limit, like the Calling Card. If no 
   limit is specified on the order, Telegroup will default to a $250 limit
   When the customer reaches the limit, the line will no longer work 
   until it is reset. Limits are reset on the 20th of each month. 
Actual billing time is 30/06. You will be billed for the first 30 
   seconds and then in increments of 6 seconds.
There are no minimum usage fees. 
Monthly/quarterly bills will be sent according to minimums which 
   have not yet been set. 
Calls are tariffed and billed in Dutch gilders. 
Value Added Tax (VAT) @ 17.5% will be charged on this service. 
   Business customers may reclaim the VAT.
